I have an iPod Touch!
Now I have to set it up to do things.
I passed English!
Hooray! Video games and sock-monkey-making for the next few weeks. Starting right now.
Done
With this semester. Submitting my final paper now.
You know what makes me feel good?
Looking at WinShape (that’s Chick-fil-A) and NOM’s pro-traditional marriage project, Love Is Here, and seeing that it’s a flop. I thought maybe I was missing something on the website, but I just checked the Facebook page. It hasn’t been posted in since April. The majority of posts were liked by themselves and no one else.

Haven’t taken my medication in about a week. I feel terrible. I don’t even know why I stopped taking it. I think I kept repeated forgetting, so the schedule was thrown off, so I kept trying to reset but never did. And I still haven’t taken the Adderall I was prescribed nearly two weeks ago.
That awkward moment when an important piece of...
And I’ve already mentioned it in my presentation. I might have to cut it out of my paper.
No grades yet
Except for the F in Colonial America, which is no surprise to anyone. It might even have been a relief for the professor, since he had one fewer student’s worth of work to grade. I really don’t know what to expect in my other classes because I haven’t paid attention to grades in what feels like ages.
This wine is too goddamn sweet
I never thought I would say that, but I can barely manage to drink it.
All the hipster-ness is made 10x worse by the fact...
I mean really, y’all.
I have never been to an Urban Outfitters, but it...
The author of this article feels the same way:
For the postcollegiate slackerati it is a mecca of precisely modulated urban hipster cool, a time-warp thrift store aesthetic filtered through a retrograde prism of detached irony and kitsch.
YET DESPITE ITS SLACKER AURA and carefully calibrated antiestablishmentarian cachet, Urban Outfitters Inc. is in fact a very Establishment,...

I bought $70 worth of underwear last night
Great because I have now have a matching bra and panty set with anchors all over them. Bad because I forgot that I have to buy my prescriptions early for next month.
Urban Outfitters/Anthropologie is not quite as...
The founder is a die-hard Republican who contributes thousands of dollars (under his own name and the name of UO) to Rick Santorum, sure. But he’s only the one guy.
Now I have to make up a poster
With, like, a title and background and stuff. I wanted it ready to submit by tomorrow, but it looks like I’m gonna have to wake up early to scope out the other posters in the LGBTQ office. Boo.
Their "family foundation" is called WinShape...
Eyes on the prize, Cathys.
These people are seriously, seriously into...
Like extremely. Check out LoveIsHere.com (and keep in mind that it’s the brainchild of a partnership b/w Chick-fil-A’s fundraising/charity arm and NOM).

Family members of prospective operators—children, even—are frequently interviewed so Cathy and his family can learn more about job candidates and their relationships at home. “If a man can’t manage his own life, he ...

I have been feeling weirdly sick for the past couple of nights. I haven’t eaten for hours. Why is my stomach upset?
I still can't figure out how to correctly use the...
I can get it to make a tiny slice, then pull the rest off by hand, but I don’t think that’s how it’s supposed to work.
Now that I've fallen for pumpkin baked goods, I'm...
I’m currently enjoying what is probably the year’s last slice of pumpkin bread.
I came here to ask if I should have hot tea or...
But there was a post about wine opening, and I’ve decided to open my new bottle. I haven’t had white wine in a while, so I got some moscato.
The is the most helpful resource I've ever seen →
It could only be more helpful if it were about the other corporations I’m writing on, but Chick-fil-A is an important one.
If you see me around much tonight, shame me into...
Starting now.
My car is fixed!
It took just as long and cost just as much as the estimate said it would. This was a new place, so I was nervous that they’d find a bunch of other stuff to do while it was there. But it was fine. And the hotel’s insurance paid for the whole thing.
It looks like the ogre from Pan's Labyrinth or...
I can’t look directly at it.

I really did end up taking a break from Hulu
A three hour break. HAPPY NOW, HULU?

I got zero work done on my paper, y'all
I have to have my research done by tomorrow and have the poster draft to the copy center by Thursday, so it can be done for sure by Monday. I can do this.

That’s what I think/hope, too. I’m just highly concerned about milk waste because I love milk so much.

One more thing!
I recently had a customer ask me to top off her partially sipped latte with more milk. If I had been making other drinks, this actually would have been no problem since I could just give her the extra. But there were no other drinks on the bar, so I had to steam ~10 ounces of milk to give her ~1 ounce. I felt so bad about potentially wasting a full drink’s worth of milk, but luckily,...

ultraprism replied to your post: How do people find out about the short size cups?
if we want to order a short size cup how do we word it? “i’d like a cinnamon dolce latte, short size”?
That, or a short cinnamon dolce latte. I just realized tonight that when people ask for “the smallest size,” I give them a tall by default because I honestly forget that short is also an option. So...

Assholey question?
We get people fairly often who change their drink order after the drink is completed. Nothing as drastic as going from a latte to iced tea or anything, but enough of a change that we have to remake the drink. Once something is done, we can’t just toss it back in the pitcher and make it extra hot, or pour it over ice. When I forget to ask for whole milk, I go ahead and take the 2% as...

I like cinnamon, I think overall, I enjoy less sweet more spiced things. Gonna ask for the cinnamon dolce latte next time. I usually go, “uh… Tea… Green? Green tea?”
If you want spice, you might like...
How do people find out about the short size cups?
The internet? The grape vine? The only reference to the 8 ounce cup is the small print near the Kids’ Drinks line on the menu. We do have them sitting out with the rest of the cups near the coffee urns, in plain sight, so they’re not physically hidden.
But even when people see them, they usually don’t want them. They are really, adorably small and not good for much more than...
