I almost forgot about this. This was the best costume at the Deathly Hallows premiere Thursday night/Friday morning.

No, seriously, why were there no lady Jedi?
There were tons of lady Jedi!
If you mean original trilogy, well, Obi Wan was believed to be the last of the Jedi, but Luke and Leia both had the Force. Leia just never got trained (that we saw), but I believe she did in the expanded universe.
And in the prequel trilogy and during the Clone Wars, there were plenty of lady Jedi! Ahsoka Tano, Anakin’s apprentice in the Clone Wars TV show, is one. During the end battle in Attack of the Clones there are lady Jedi fighting. You also see at least one killed during the execution of Order 66 in Revenge of the Sith. The problem is that ALL the Jedi (minus Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Yoda) were killed then.
